In this TFC Rewards Recap Edition #3, we mentioned to sign up for the Karate Combat Airdrop form.
As mentioned before, Karate Combat is an IRL Karate league (think the UFC of Karate) with $18M in funding, making it a great candidate for rewards.
That form is now closed, as the airdrop went live yesterday. If you signed up then, you got an email from them saying to download their app and claim their airdrop.
Congrats to everyone who claimed! When we claimed a couple hours after the email went out, it gave us 8,888 KARATE, though one of you messaged us and said you claimed with 18,888 tokens. You were faster than us on the claim, so congrats 😁
We’re also seeing tweets like the below, so it does appear that the original claim was 18.8k tokens:
If you didn’t claim yet, make sure you checkout their email and follow their link.
It’s a gasless claim on the Hedera network using Blade wallet.
It takes about 3 minutes to setup the app, and you get your tokens automatically after signing in.
If you’re an Android user: they’re creating a new form for Android users, so make sure to signup as soon as it comes through (the quote below is from before they reached the limit on the typeform. They said they’ll make a new one Monday)
“For Android users, we haven't forgotten about you. Please confirm your interest in the airdrop by filling out this short form. We're looking to get your reply by May 16 10PM SGT, otherwise you won’t qualify for the Android airdrop expected in June (while supplies last)” - Quote from email
Note: in their discord they said they’ll be filtering the Android responses to only those who filled out the original form.
As a general reminder: it’s always optimal to wait until gas fees are low for ETH claims, as you’ll spend less money if you wait.
If you’re doing dozens of trades a month, waiting for lower gas fees will save you hundreds of dollars.
This of course is for non time sensitive claims.
ETH Gas prices can vary wildly by day of the week and time of day (as shown below):
Tools To Use
EtherDrops Bot Alerts: This is a free TG bot we frequently use, that has Gas Alerts. It alerts you when gas fees drop below specified thresholds.
Blocknative Alerts: Blocknative also has a free alerts system through their chrome extension.
Webhook alerts: If you’re a developer and want to setup your own alerts, Alchemy has a gas price notifications module here .
And speaking of gas fees, this next claim is worth doing. If you’re spent more than $100 on ETH gas fees, you’re eligible: 👇
