Ledger's $110M Round Explained, Tokenized Home Sales, Web3 Security Tools, Liquidity Visualizations, and more!
💡 Intro
Ledger raises $110M in new funding: Today, Ledger announced their series C extension round.
Ledger’s CEO stated the funding will help Ledger:
Integrate new coins, blockchains, services and features into Ledger Live
Make Web3 easier to navigate for all users
On the B2B side: make it easier for businesses and companies to manage and secure tokenized assets
Why This Matters:
Improvements to Ledger = easier onboarding and adoption of users for Web3, as Ledger is the most used hardware wallet
Improvements to their B2B offerings = more companies able to adopt crypto
Ledger continues to add awesome utility outside of their traditional hardware wallets. In the past year they’ve added Stax, the Ledger Extension, and their own NFT collection
This new funding round will likely lead to new Ledger platforms/tools being created. The TFC team will be on the lookout and update you all when we first see these announced, as there will likely be good opportunities (just like their NFT launch was a good pickup.)
Real World Asset tokenization is a major opportunity. While legal and operational challenges still exist for RWAs, a recent home sale occurred by Homebase that’s worth following.
Their 1st tokenized rental property investment went through, with investors owning fractional pieces of a house and Homebase handling renting operations and sending the fractional return on rent back to investors’ wallets.

Lore
"The First Legible Explorer."
Type of Product: Blockchain Analytics
Purpose of Tool: Lore is an AI-enabled analytics platform that makes it easy for consumers and institutions to interpret, analyze, and perform actions on blockchain data. It simplifies the process of querying blockchain data by removing the need for extra technical hires, and it makes it easier to interpret and understand real signal/event narratives on-chain.
Pretty unique tool that’s in its early stages that’s worth following.
One of the tough parts of understanding Web3 analytics is needing to translate queries into SQL for Dune Analytics.
Lore is tackling that by using AI to let users type in plain english what they’re looking for and then translating that through AI into queries.
LoreScan is a block explorer that is built on top of the Lore Translator Engine. This allows users to search and digest information in a human readable format and add complex behavioural and transactional filters.
Query Data without Coding: Lore Translator Engine allows users to query data without coding by writing complex behavioural, qualitative, and quantitative queries in simple English. The engine will interpret the results and return them in an adjustable format.
Team / Funding / Backers / Other Info: Team has raised $1.7M from SALT, Floodgate, Soma, Balaji, and other angels. It’s currently in Private Beta, but the team mentioned they’re onboarding users who message them.
